Working with Government as a partner

Calm, evidence-led and constructive. Here is how we work, and what we have put before Government.

How we work

Our approach to policy

We bring solutions, not just problems.

  • Data firstEvery position we take is backed by project data, published records and field experience.
  • Credit where it is dueThe protected-cultivation scheme is a success. We say so, and we argue for building on it.
  • The farmer at the centreOur members are sons of farmers. Every proposal starts with what it means for the grower.
  • Partnership with GovernmentWe work with NHB, MIDH and the Ministries, State offices included.
  • Whole value chainFarmers, banks, manufacturers, workers and agronomists all depend on stable policy.
  • Long-term viewOur aim is a globally competitive sector, not short-term gains.
